Junior MTB race team
For young riders who want to race. We build on strong skills with structured training, race preparation and support at the races, mainly in XCO and the Spur Schools MTB league.
Training plans
Personal plans built around school, rest and the race calendar, so riders peak for the races that matter.
Race preparation
Course recce, start practice, pacing and a proper race-day warm-up routine.
Race analysis
After races we look at lap times and sections to see where time was gained or lost, and train for it.
What is XCO racing?
Cross-country Olympic (XCO) is short-lap mountain bike racing: several laps of a 3 to 6 km course with climbs, descents and technical features. It rewards fitness and skill, which is why our race riders still train skills every week.
Most kids start racing in schools MTB events, then move on to provincial and national XCO races as juniors.
Ready to race?
Riders usually join the race team after a term or two of skills sessions. If your child already races, send us their results and we'll suggest the right group.
