About Spherical Cycling
A mountain bike club for kids, juniors and adults in Benoni and Pretoria, built around good coaching. We want every rider to ride with skill and confidence, and to love being on the bike.
Our story
Spherical Cycling brings together coach Zuan Jacobs's skills groups from Ashton College, Benoni and schools in the East Rand and Pretoria East into one club, with its own name, home track and plans to grow.
The club is backed by Spherical Logistics, whose support helps us invest in better facilities, starting with a rock garden and berms at the Ashton College track.
Zuan Jacobs, head coach
Zuan coaches mountain bikers from their first skills session to racing XCO and schools MTB. He plans every session, tracks each rider's progress and coaches the junior race riders with personal training plans.
What we believe
Skills before speed
Good technique keeps riders safe and makes riding more fun. Speed follows.
Safe and welcoming
Helmets always, bikes checked, groups matched to ability, and every rider included.
Honest feedback
Riders and parents get clear reports on progress, not just a ride around the track.
